Haaahhtab...You won't see any fireworks here

As is the case, I leave the pictures of the fireworks to the printed news because this day is my R&R (by choice) and I won't be posting a picture here(awww sorry).

But I did indulge in the 4th of July tradition in the form of the inimitable American barbecue. The host: The Williams' (Ate Adele and Justin)at Hayward. So, this was another moment where eating moderately was non-existent and why should it be - the sun was up, the pool wide open, a movie is being shown, food was abundant and people were all around chatting away. Everything was frantic but in a nice way... Even good ol' Macy, a very friendly golden retriever, faced total exhaustion from too many people attention. For a while he got another cutesy competition from a toy poodle (not sure what exact breed) named Toby. Twice Macy tried to brush her face on me when Toby climbed on my knees...but one girl thought better of the situation by tying both of them to one leash to make them inseparable, obviously Macy used her size to steer Toby among the crowd. Couple of people almost tripped over him but no harm happened.

I don't know if it's too much food or too much sleep but headache chose to strike at that moment (was it people exposure too?). As faith would have it, a bed was there for me to take a rest... but what of the fireworks? Well, after a breather, a hot tub was waiting in the wings, all 94 degrees of warm, bubbly, massaging water power (And did I say it was right beside the pool?) All I have to do is dip in it, right under the stars as i watched the fireworks overhead, ahhhhhhhh...for another two hours.......I would say this is much better than parking on a city street and stressing yourself out looking for that perfect viewing spot that a thousand or so people thought of already.

P.S. Justin and Adele - my saints for a day. Arigato!

Georgina,

Look at my tulip, that's the closest I can get to my subject. I have macro shots but it's on my SLR. If that gets developed I will post it here. Okie?
