Hopping Cities Weekend
If this should be a special day I would enjoy this Holiday tremendously. That and with a willing driver. So to sum it up, here's how I spent the Hopping Cities Weekend.
South San Francisco - My starting point. I got some spare dough, I got me some gas. I bought me some bad rackets for a game I will mention later on. I hopped on my car and used my good right leg for the 75 mph juice going to the East Bay.
Fremont - Went to Dave's to prepare to watch my cousin's play, "Tatarin" by the late Nick Joaquin that night. From then on he drove (see willing driver).
Union City - Picked up my cousin's mom. Literally, this was the zippy part. No waiting involved, then we're on our way.
Hayward - The play is in Cal State Hayward and was sold out for that night. Due to my oversight to make ticket reservations we made it fifth on the waiting list. Apparently, we are not alone, and we decided to hang around for a while. Fortunately, there were people who did not make it. Unfortunately, only one ticket was left, and of course we let my aunt take it.
Newark - Dave and I let off some disappointment steam with chocolate desserts at Applebee's. We would not want to miss the fries on the side. A diner treat on an upgraded eating place with a round table made for six. Strange frequencies going on...
Fremont - Watched Dave take his quiz online while waiting for my aunt's call. I can't fancy this new technology, although it's pretty convenient at discouraging cheating and excuses altogether, I wonder how this system will sink the learning in your brain in the long run?
Union City - I decided to sleep at my Aunt's place with just a tad comforter, pillow and a hard ground. I smell camping...
Sunday
Union City - Had the fast food breakfast and a tofu lunch. Yum, eee...
Hayward - Visited my lolo's memorial shelf. Asked him how he's doing in heaven.
Fremont - I got a second lunch with Dave's family and relatives. Got a load of Angela brownies, always a treat. Plus a begging look from poor Macy the dog.
Milpitas - Made a run in at Dave's favorite comic book store, the Black Cat. I wish I can fully participate in this activity. I get the scolding for just looking at the artworks and not reading the story between balloons. As a woman I know my limits, and this is probably one of them, pshaw.
Santa Clara - Finally, the activity we can share -- we played badminton again at City Beach. Mental note: never come in on a Sunday, for teenage kids already done with their studies, would rather hang around and get sporty for that last weekend berth before school.
Now if only I can sleep right after this.
