(wala lang...)

There's something potent about D's tea. I can't figure it out but three cups in one day, one Nyquil at bedtime and zing I totally skipped the coughing, hacking and spitting part of the flu (with him it didn't work). I found out later how much he dumped an enormous amount honey and mandarin oranges in the drink. And since my tongue has been patchy lately it can't discriminate any entities (Think about it, tea with Nyquil, bleeechh). Too bad we missed our clubbing debut, none the less in a VIP Room of a reggae-themed maybe hippy place. We could have been shaking cabooses all night.

But we did not miss By the Bucket the next day, venue of P's birthday. Two families, two couples and two friends (how many?) of us were seated facing the sports bar which showed three different football games. It is one of those moments that worked out for the men and women, though the kiddies enjoyed themselves later at the playplace at Valley Fair Mall.

Since I'm already at the mall and me feeling so material on a Sunday, I decided to put the good 'ol Macy's gift card to use. Superficially, I wanted a pair of shoes, a watch and a bag in that order. I found the perfect moccs that doesn't come in my size, of course (there is a running conspiracy out on the fashion circuit that small feet people doesn't deserve a nice fancy footwear; I think I mentioned it before), so skip on the second choice. Which is not really a choice considering I barely wear a watch anyway. So, I ended up with a bag.* Story of my life.

*come to think of it, it's not just any bag. It's a prehistoric archaelogical find. I can see the bones after I dust it off.
