A Day With So Much to Do
Game day... Dave got us tickets to the Giants game in SBC Park against the San Diego Padres. This is my second time to watch a baseball game but this is also a time we spent some time for ourselves, on a weekday. We decided to beat the crowd by being there way too early. So, after we parked near the ballpark we walked aimlessly until a Borders bookstore popped up across the street. It was a virtually new place and we wasted a certain time over there, I bought an EP from my favorite band Longwave entitled "Life of the Party", but I was not in a reading mood.
We decided to seek the trail going to Market Street. Hand in hand with backpacks on our backs we scaled blocks of treacherous road constructions, reckless cellphone-ridden vehicles, mighty dusts and mistrusting cross-street signals and got to our oasis on the end of the road -- a Washington Mutual Bank, in fact two of them. Weary travellers we are, we sought an bank rep to help us achieve the next level of couplehood -- a joint bank account. A guy with a booger hanging from his nose made it all possible. We blessed this account with the name "travel reserves" and went back to our initial purpose. We walked the path back with less challenge but a little thirsty. Answer came when a red guy who is pulling a cart offered us free Coke C2 drinks, it was too good to be true. He gave us no reason to be skeptical, so, we grabbed the quenchful beverage and went on our way, back to the sports gathering where only the Giants rule.
Epilogue:
Only this time, the Giants sucked big time.
