The Earthquake Factor

Once you get the earthquake started, nerves get rattled again. And if you're in the fifth floor it's more panicky...our building has seven floors, and out of those people who rushed out yesterday when the earthquake occured, they are mostly workers from floors five to seven (eat that lower floors, at least we got an earthquake break for ten minutes, and you thought it's just us dancing upstairs). Shaking is nothing extra-terrestrial in California and it's not surprising when the epicenter is in an earthquake capital which is Parkfield CA. But scary as a natural catastrophe it may seem, this is a good shakeup in some ways.

A few months ago seismologists were undergoing a test to predict when the next big one will occur and they mentioned September. I even wrote it down on my planner, the date, magnitude and place. Now two wagered factors were set in place here. So, when the thing happened I gave sigh of relief because I retained a little ounce of credibility when I told a mini group of people about it and the seismologists went up a notch and earned another job description -- quake forecasters.

There was a quake about 2 weeks ago in CA near the Nevada border. I was the only one that I know that felt it.

Everyone thought I was a nut, but I found it online, and then, like 4 days later it was in the paper that it had happened, but nothing about anyone here feeling it.

Am I just too sensitive?

P.S. my older sis lived in pleasanton for several years.
