Hey, You Materialistic Dude

Nothing much happening last Thanksgiven, except for one grateful miracle that is my grandma recovering, slowly but surely. Other than that there is the official start of material expectations (or some , just to be modest) brought about by the holiday mood. For me, I always look forward to Christmas because of one thing (okay, giving and receiving, but I'll go beyond that, plus the religious aspect of it)... It's the season where it's raining peppermint, spearmint, eucalyptus, minty good mentholated mint. And it's mint mixed in everything -- your chocolate, mocha, coffee, tea, food etc. As if the freezing weather is not enough, you put some snowy sensation into that hot drink after walking outside. While I've always wondered why mint never made presence in summer, it's more boggling for me why eggnog is such a Christmas staple. They are so horrible, in my opinion, like fruitcakes.

This pic means nothing (except that I drew an angel and devil on the pepp cup)

Oh yeah, last week D and I played house at my sis-in-law's place, as they were away in Washington for the holiday. Our housesitting duty involved taking good care of the family golden retriever and taking possession of their very spiffy remote to their Tivo heaven. We made good time in front of the screen, naturally, watching "Ninja Warriors" marathon and "Jamie Kennedy X" reruns, because 2003 is so old school.
