My Day Off
Which is not really a day off which technically implied a butt on the bed.
So, I was out at the DMV while I loaned my car to my friend Cris who finally took his long due driving exam. The three weekends of driving in city roads and freeways paid off. Congratulations. I felt a little smug for teaching a semi-student. It's hard to imagine I was doing the same thing two years ago and I was real nervous wreck. I was even a drama queen about it when I failed the third time. I thought I was missing a part of the so-called American dream and to tell you frankly, it's true. Such freedom was not bestowed upon the economically-challenged. I met a lot of people who complained about their substandard living in here, and I thought they're the luckiest of people to ever think worst about their situation. Well, if I can get around seeing the sunset, the ocean and the stars, i think this place does about it for me.
Seen and heard: At the DMV an old man was driving a PT Cruiser with a waving French flag. He forgot to use the brake on a three way path out of the DMV, ignored the people crossing the lot and did a rolling stop out to the city street. From the looks of it his second chance at driving life is doomed.
